Since 1911, The Peoples Savings Bank has been serving eastern Washington County, OH with a wide array of banking services. Chartered in 1911 as a commercial bank, The Peoples Savings Bank has flourished as a locally owned, independent community bank with strong ties to its heritage.
Staffed by an exceptional team, The Peoples Savings Bank has three convenient locations to offer the service, safety, honesty and integrity that you deserve from your bank: 710 Second St., New Matamoras, 39000 State Route 7, Newport and 103 Main St., Lower Salem.
In 1974, the Newport office was opened at the foot of the Carpenter
Bridge which links St. Marys, WV and Newport, OH. In 1978, after
construction of a new main office on the former site of the Matamoras
High School, The Peoples Savings Bank moved its headquarters to the
present location from the site that the bank had occupied since 1912.
In 2009, The Peoples Savings Bank opened an office in Lower Salem, a community which has supported a bank since 1911.
